Heather Vanessa Marshall was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended California State University Long Beach where she Double majored. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2016. After working a few odd jobs, including driving for Uber, working at the mall, and a casino, Heather moved to Bakersfield in 2020. In Bakersfield, she worked at a funeral home before deciding to pursue a career in the legal field. Heather began her legal career by serving the community at Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance. Ultimately, she decided to attend law school and was admitted to the Monterey College of Law. She began attending the Kern County Campus, later transferring to the San Luis Obispo Campus. While in law school Heather began working for Bradley J. Hill as a Legal Assistant. She took the February 2026 bar exam, passed, and was admitted to the California State Bar on May 16th 2026. Heather graduated from the Monterey College of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctorate (JD) and Master of Legal Studies (MLS) on May15th, 2026. Heather looks forward to serving the San Luis Obispo community as an attorney, working alongside Bradley J. Hill.
